Create some homemade toys just like children did years ago. Have a go at playing some board games from the past and make a puppet and a peg doll to take home. Cost: £2.50 per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No need to book, just drop in.

Excellent Egg Hunt at Market Hall Museum

Take part in our egg-citing sp-egg-tacular Egg Hunt this Easter around Market Hall Museum. Find out about egg identification along the way and create your own bouncing chick to take home. Cost: £2.50 per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No need to book, just drop in.

Arty Tots at Market Hall Museum

Come and join us at Market Hall for an ‘Eggcellent’ time. Make ‘Easter’ inspired decorations and maybe a chick or two. Join us for a story and some songs. Suitable for under 5’s, older siblings welcome. Cost: £2.50 per child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No need to book, just drop in.

Discover the Awesome Anglo Saxons and learn about how they lived, dress up and take a selfie as an Anglo Saxon warrior! Make a timber framed Anglo Saxon house and a glittering brooch to take home.

History Detectives – Fun Easter Holiday Club
Explore our collections, get crafty and play games at our special day-long workshops. (9.30 am to 4.00 pm)

Kings, Queens and Castles – Monday 10th April
St John’s Museum
Why were castles built and how were they defended? Who lived in our Warwickshire castles? Build a medieval siege engine, make feasts fit for a king or queen and design your own coat of arms.

Climbing the Family Tree – Tuesday 11th April
Warwickshire County Record Office
Become a family history detective and explore the family tales hiding in the Record Office, everything from a Victorian laundress to an eight year old chimney sweep. Get the chance to bring your own family photos and documents along and learn how to use Ancestry.com to research your family tree. Make a scrapbook to store your precious family photos in.

Cost: £20.00 a day. Suitable for ages 6 to12 years. Look at original and replica objects and documents relating to the theme of the day, play games/quizzes and make a selection of make and take crafts. There are always at least two members of DBS checked staff with the group. Bring packed lunch/snacks/drinks. Places must be booked in advance by calling 01926 412501 or click here to book online

Library events are FREE: donations to support library activities welcomed on the day: Tickets must be booked in advance from www.eventbrite.co.uk Search ‘event name and location’. Suitable for primary school aged children. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
