Calling all young and new cyclists! Stay fitter, healthier and safer on the road through Bikeability!
Spring is in the air and now is the time for children to get back on their bikes. With this in mind Warwickshire County Council is providing Bikeability cycle training courses during the Easter break.
Bikeability Level’s 1, 2 & 3 are being offered at the Warwickshire College site in Leamington Spa. The playground based Level 1 course for cyclists aged 7 – 9 years takes place on Monday 21 March 9.00 to 11.30 at £10.00 per cyclist.
The Level 2 is delivered over 2 days on Monday 21 March 12.30 – 4.00 and Tuesday 22 March 9.00 – 1.00 and is aimed at children aged 9 years and over who are ready to cycle on the road. This 2 day course is £20.
The advanced Level 3 course, for competent cyclists aged 11 and over who are ready to take on more challenging road situations, takes place on Wednesday 23 March at 9.00 – 11.30 costing £22 per cyclist.
Places are limited so early booking is advised. A certificate and badge are awarded for all successfully completed levels.
Bikeability is Cycle Proficiency for the 21st century and training enables children to be safer and more independent whilst travelling by bike on or off road. As well as the obvious fitness benefits, children who cycle are more likely to be energised, excited and ready to learn.
